Kimberley, welcome to the Midlands Bridal Fair 2017 in KZN. We are so excited to introduce you and your business to our Brides- and Grooms-to-be!

Tell us a little about yourself

I am a creative mom of one gorgeous boy, Sam. I am passionate about creating beautiful things and making someone’s wedding day the best it can be.

Tell people about your business and what you offer

At Natural Nostalgia, we aim to fulfill our Brides’ dreams for her special day as best we can, by meeting in person, doing table mock-ups, and putting our best efforts into setting up their wedding.

We do wedding décor hire and flowers. We also offer a wedding planning service. We have a lot of gorgeous décor on show in our showroom (Howick) and a team of passionate and skilled workers who do flowers.

How did you get into the wedding industry?

I started the business by seeing an opportunity in KZN for vintage décor hire – I started out by hiring out antique objects like watering cans, wheelbarrows, an old bath for holding drinks etc. Then I started stocking and setting up more table décor, and did my floristry course at the same time. We just grew from there… 🙂

How long have you been doing this for?

Four years.

What do you love most about your job?

I absolutely love doing the flowers.

What differentiates your business and makes you stand out? What are you known for?

We offer décor and flowers. Most people have to get two different suppliers for that. Because we do both, we can make sure that the décor and flowers complement each other perfectly.

What can visitors to the Midlands Bridal Fair expect to see from you at the fair?

They can expect to see a brilliant showcase of some of our best work.

Tell us what inspires you. Any websites, people or companies that you follow?

I am mostly inspired by nature and the outdoors.

Any upcoming wedding trend forecasts?

I think that the Moroccan vibe might be something that could be quite big this year, taking over the geometric/botanical trend.

What advice would you give Brides- and/or Grooms-to be?

Stick to what you have always wanted and dreamed for your wedding as much as you can. Choose suppliers you trust and let them do the work for you – don’t waste time worrying about what could go wrong or what your wedding will look like. Enjoy the moments leading up to your wedding as best as you can – they are precious.
