We’d love to know more about you and how you got into the industry…
Cameron & I met back in the mid 90s as DJs and have always had a similar work ethic and passion for our craft. We have continued along similar paths ever since. We have done radio together on a number of platforms and we continued to use Richard Branson’s theory of providing exceptional service and products at a reasonable price point. This led us to our concept of bundled services giving clients greater choice and value for their money. Value for money must never be confused with cheap. Cheap always ends up more expensive in the end, and you can quote us on that. That is why we deliver Value. Together we have covered around two and a half thousand weddings. We have the skill and expertise inhouse to make your’s a success too.
What services and expertise does your business offer to clients?
We offer Professional MC & DJ Services, Wedding Celebrant & Marriage Officer Services, as well as our cutting-edge Fun Photo Booth, now in it’s second version.
How long have you been doing this for?
In all since 1995 and we’re constantly reinventing and improving ourselves.
What do you love most about the work you do?
There is no greater joy than seeing the faces of our couple’s enjoying their day, celebrating with their family and friends, and then keeping relationship with these clients and seeing them with their kiddies years later. I recently did my first second generation wedding, where I did the wedding of a couple in the 90s, and now the daughter’s wedding recently too.
What differentiates your business and makes you stand out? What are you known for?
We think the passion, work ethic and overall presentation differentiate us from many others in the industry. Although offering a number of services we keep the main thing, the main thing. We strive to always be ahead of the technology curve, continually educating ourselves on trends and new data. We network with professionals in our industry elsewhere in the world to always be on top of our game. We are known for the 5 Ps: Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance, and also for our very successful weddings and events.
What can visitors to the Midlands Bridal Fair expect to see from you at the fair?
Hmm, let’s see, pretty much what you’ve read and maybe a little surprise or two….. and also my workshop on ‘Conquering the Last Mile of your wedding Planning.’ I am also the official MC of the Midlands Bridal Fair.
Any client testimonial/s you’d like to share?
I would rather other people share those for us, but at the Show Stand you will be able to see some, dating back to as far as 1995.
Tell us what inspires you. Any websites, people or companies that you follow?
I always ask the question Why? Why do we fall in love? Why do we marry? why are we in business? Is it to survive or is it to thrive? Okay, you get it. I like to start with the why. Getting to the why inspires me. Bottom line is I do it because I do it for my family, I do it because I am doing good, and I am doing it for the love of it, because if you do it for love, the money will follow and twenty something years later, we are both still doing it. And doing it very well.
What advice would you give to Brides- and/or Grooms-to-be?
Have fun doing this, remember why you are doing it and love doing it together.
Do you have a favourite quote?
I have a few, but this one is ultimately true: “If at first you don’t succeed, Sky-diving isn’t for you!” No, just kidding. I’m going to have to go with:
“The greatest of them all is Love!”
