Fiona, welcome to the Midlands Bridal Fair 2017 in KZN. We are so excited to introduce you and the magazine to our Brides- and Grooms-to-be!

Tell us a little bit about yourself

With 18 years advertising sales in the wedding industry, I enjoy a good relationship with my clients.

Tell people about your magazine and what you offer

A well established publishing company, Azalea Promotions produces a variety of quality publications, from bi-monthly magazines, community brochures and various maps to wedding, conferencing and accommodation guides. The combination of print and digital exposure, makes their publications an obvious marketing tool for most companies.

Your Wedding Planner is an annual Bridal guide which contains all the information that Bridal couples need to plan their perfect day. With the focus on local suppliers, it promotes and showcases idyllic wedding venues and professional wedding services that our province has to offer. Whether it is a formal, traditional or unique style of wedding that you are seeking, KZN can undoubtedly provide an exceptional and memorable experience!

The combination of our Printed Magazine, Online Digital Brochure, dedicated Website and Facebook page makes Your Wedding Planner the ideal marketing tool for wedding service providers to reach their target market.

How did you get into the wedding industry?

I managed a Bridal publication prior to joining Azalea Promotions and my previous clients heard that I was working for a publishing company, they requested that Azalea Promotions look at bringing out a wedding publication.

And, as they say, … the rest is history.

How long have you been doing this for?

Your Wedding Planner 2017 will be our sixth issue.

What do you love most about your job?

Nothing makes us happier than producing a quality publication that we know will be very useful to the reader, as well as serving as excellent exposure for our advertisers.

These will be revealed in our 2017 edition!

What advice would you give Brides- and/or Grooms-to be?

Choose your venue and photographer first, then plan everything else. Make sure that you meet your photographer and that you have a connection with them. Try on wedding dresses before having something made. What you have in your mind may not necessarily suit you.

Do you have a favourite quote?

So often, in a difficult economy, the advertising budget is the first thing to be cut but this is very short sighted.

“The man who stops advertising to save money is like the man who stops the clock to save time.” – Thomas Jefferson
