Never underestimate the time it takes to …

Prepare your content: While you may have a few ideas about the information you need to include on your invitation it is always good practice to speak to a parent as they may want their names included or excluded, or some specific wording they would like you to include. Obviously it is your day, but it’s nice when both the Bride and Groom involve their parents in this important element to your day.

Make amendments to your artwork: During the planning of your wedding life carries on, work needs to be done, and everyone gets extremely busy. Ultimately the longer it takes for you to sit down and review the artwork sent to you, the further away the production can begin. Generally stationers will allow for a certain number of changes to be made, so take this into consideration when you are making amendments to the artwork.

Produce the invitations and/or day stationery: If your invitation incorporates bespoke elements like wood, perspex or custom laser cutting, it is likely that your production time will be longer than a more traditional format. Always consider this when placing your order, and allow your service provider the time they need to complete your stationery in good time and in good order, especially if they are waiting for special materials.

Bonus Tip …

Have fun! Enjoy the process. And take the advice given to you by your service providers, especially where time management is concerned.
